FYI, they added "The Evil Within" and "Metal gear Solid V". MGSV is not in the list but if you search for it, you can add it and it's part of the deal. Since "The Last of Us" (PS3 obviously) came back in stock, I made another order. :)

I'd probably have to start with Infamous, Destiny and Watch Dogs.
As pleased as I am about where Sony is going with PS4, there's a decent chance that I wait a while to jump in...unless that couple hundred I have in Gamestop credit overwhelms me.
Infamous isn't being released until Q1 2014 at the earliest

I'm kind of amazed that nobody else tried a game with that mechanic on Wii.
Anyway, I just got it the other day and was kind of blown away...your comment reminded me about it.
Sorry fellas...back on topic...
ah I have the original import on the n64. I haven't played it since the n64 days but I thought the n64 controller worked okay for it. I'll have to try the Wii version.

Hey guys
The wife found out a new "Xbox" was coming out...she doesn't care for gaming...and asked if I wanted it? Told her it might be the PS4 since countless other current 360 owners still have questions and concerns. But as usual it comes to the games themselves. Saw this over at GT and thought it might be helpful.....

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
Did Sony set an official release date? I ask because I got an email from Best Buy yesterday saying that my pre-order date had changed from 12/31 to 11/30.
Another thing I am wondering about is after hearing about stores only getting x amount of systems for pre-order, how Best Buy is going to handle it. I did my pre-order online with in-store pickup, but my fear is the pre-orders done in store will take precedence.

11/30 just means "November" like 12/31 means "2013". There's still no official date.

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
I just read that the PS4 will not be backwards compatible. Not that I own a bazillion games (more like 5 or 6 :) ) but there are a few, like the Uncharted series, I'd like to play again in the future. Are you guys going to keep your PS3? Or are you going to hope that the games you want to replay will be available, at some point, on this Gakai (or whatever it's called) streaming service? And if you do own physical copies of the PS3 games, will you be able to stream/download them for free?

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
Since the PS3 is still a good Blu ray player (and unless there's a significant added feature I'd rather not burden my shiny new launch console with that), I'll keep it around.
How is Plus going to work now? I know that the sub model goes to the PS4, but are all the free games still usable on my PS3 until it croaks?

Gaikai is your best bet. I doubt they'll give you the game for free if you have the disc, as they can't verify that each disc is only ever used once to redeem a Gaikai copy. You will not be able to download the game (that would require an emulator to run properly, and they've said so far they're not doing that). So Gaikai will stream the video to you, but you control the game with your PS4. That requires a persistent internet connection, and if you want decent quality, I'd expect the same bandwidth as Vudu HDX, so 4.5mbps or better.

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
I'll be keeping my PS3 for a good long while. Still have quite the unplayed pile in addition to wanting ot be able to play the Uncharted, GTA and various others again. Plus I've just freed up a port on my HDMI switch previously occupied by my now retired HD DVD player. :)

That's the general concept, it's OnLive dedicated to Playstation, PS2 and PS3 games.
Though like Vudu I'm sure there's a way to get a serial from a disc so you don't just pass it around, so there is a chance you could "unlock" your games in Gaikai. I'm still hoping for a $20/month unlimited use subscription service.
Gaikai is still a big question mark though, and it's very interesting to me.

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
Ok thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be keeping my PS3 around for a while. I've been searching for info on this Gaikai service and there's nothing aside from generic statements about "game streaming will be provided by Gaikai, giving access to plenty of "critically acclaimed" PS3 and PS4 games."

The regular PS3ers are keeping their consoles. I know I have a large stack of games I'll be going back to and they are still good Blu Ray and Netflix/Hulu/Amazon machines. Besides with a PSPlus membership, First party exclusives and Sony's continued support there is no reason to get rid of it.

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
I'll probably end up selling my PS3, so that means I probably won't be getting a PS4 till I play The Last of Us and GTA V. And I'd like to play Skyrim, but don't know if I want to wait THAT long for a PS4, so maybe I will end up keeping it... Maybe I'll just hook it up to a computer monitor. I just need to find a HDMI -> DVI adapter. And an amp for sound.

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
You know GTA V is almost guaranteed to show up on both the Xbox One and PS4 right?

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
I'm keeping my PS3. I actually have two, so I might sell one, but I might keep a PS3 and PS4 hooked up to my main TV.

I wonder why they made Gran Turismo 6 for the PS3 when it is going to be released about the same time as the PS4? (assuming one or both don't get delayed)

Re: PS4 to be announced February 20th?
They still made PS2 games and systems until recently. No surprise there to me.

I'm sure they'll have Gran Turismo 7, demo edition for the PS4, with maybe a full fledged version available in the next decade or so...
